This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m excited to welcome my new students into a classroom where they can feel supported, valued, and inspired. Each student will bring unique strengths, experiences, and perspectives that will make our classroom a vibrant place of learning and growth.

The resources I’m requesting will play a crucial role in creating an environment where my students can thrive.

The classroom supplies, including markers and colored pencils, will ensure that every student has access to the materials they need for day-to-day activities and creative projects, which are essential for deep learning. The glass board markers will enhance our collaborative space by allowing students to brainstorm and share ideas on our sliding glass doors, encouraging teamwork and innovation.

For our alternate seating and calming space, I’ve included beanbag chairs, a rug, a storage table, and calming fidgets. This area will serve as a safe haven where students can recharge and refocus, helping them manage stress and emotions, which is critical for their academic and personal success. The photo printer and cartridges will allow us to capture and display moments from our learning journey on a dedicated photo wall, helping to build a sense of community and belonging as we celebrate our achievements together.

My goal for this project is to create a classroom where every student feels empowered to learn and grow, both academically and emotionally. I’m committed to providing my students with the resources they need to succeed and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom community from day one.
