This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kindergarteners are curious, creative, and full of energy.

Every day, they walk into our classroom ready to learn, explore, and grow—not just academically, but emotionally and socially too. I want to give them a space that feels welcoming, calming, and designed just for them.

My Project

This project is all about creating a flexible, organized, and calming learning environment where every student can thrive.

I'm requesting shelving to keep our materials organized and accessible, helping students learn responsibility and independence. The current lack of storage leads to clutter, which can be overwhelming for young learners. With better organization, students will be able to find and return materials easily, creating smoother transitions and more focused learning time.

I'm also requesting flexible furniture so students can choose workspaces that fit their learning styles—whether that means working independently, in pairs, or in small groups. Flexibility fosters engagement, collaboration, and comfort.

Lastly, I’m requesting natural, green-themed decorations to bring a sense of peace and calm into our space. Soft greens, nature-themed wall art, and calming touches will help make our classroom a place where students feel safe and centered.
