This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our 7th-grade resource classroom, we support amazing students who learn in many different ways. Some need to move a little to stay focused, while others benefit from calming tools to help them feel comfortable and ready to learn. Flexible seating—like wobble stools, cushions, and lap desks—gives students the choice to sit where they feel best. Paired with sensory tools like fidgets and calming strips, these options help students feel more in control, less anxious, and more engaged throughout the day.

This project is all about helping our students feel safe, supported, and successful.

With your help, we can create a classroom where every child has what they need to thrive—whether that’s a cozy spot to sit, a quiet tool to fidget with, or just the freedom to learn in a way that works for them.
