Help me give my students a calm and safe environment! By incorporating thoughtful furniture, cozy rugs, engaging books, interactive games, and essential materials, I can create a space that helps students feel grounded, supported, and ready to learn.

My Project

Creating a calm and safe environment for my students is essential to supporting their emotional well-being and helping them develop important emotional regulation skills. This dedicated space will include stress relieving fidgets, stress balls, playdough, emotion plush toys, sensory feeling bottles, among other coping tools. It’s important that this space includes board games, blocks, and other interactive activities to meet every student’s individual needs. This calm space will also include a rug, wall art, and storage cabinets to define the space even more and make it unique. Having a calm space will serve as a sanctuary where students can practice self-regulation, build self-awareness, resiliency, and grow in a nurturing and supportive setting.

By providing this kind of environment, I am giving my students the opportunity to develop lifelong emotional skills.

It empowers them to manage their feelings in healthy ways—benefiting not only their success in the classroom but also their overall growth beyond school.
