Creating a Block Center for Preschool Special Education!

My preschool special education students need building blocks and a carpet to create a block center.

This project is fully funded

Our school is in Hawaii. The school is a title one school which means our school is a high poverty school. Our school services 50% military dependents and 50% local Hawaii students. The classroom I teach is a preschool special education classroom.

I feel that my students NEED blocks in the room because learners in my classroom are interested in building. This school year I have implemented centers in the classroom. The blocks/building center in the classroom is popular amongst the students however I do not have a specific area or enough blocks for the students to enjoy the area fully.

The classroom needs different types of blocks for students to build with. The classroom also needs a carpet to define the area. These items will foster creativity, collaboration skills, and problem-solving skills in the preschool special education classroom.

Donating these items will make it possible for the preschool special education students to engage in activities that foster creativity, collaboration skills, and problem-solving skills in classroom.
