My students need the die cut machine to use their imagination to create customized t shirts, and other creations with multiple mediums for themselves and their classmates.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Some of the students within our school are at a distinct disadvantage and fall academically due to the achievement gap. This is a result of the lack of adequate hands-on resources in the classroom and environment in which they live. My students come from diverse backgrounds. Their lives have uncertainty and unpredictability outside of school. Due to these circumstances, many of them lack the prior knowledge to be successful in school.
I know that with your contribution we will help impact their lives for my Cardinals.
My Project
Of course I'll use it. There are many really neat classroom ideas I could create. What is most important, however, is that my STUDENTS will actually use the Design Space computer program to create a variety of things using different mediums including magnet sheets, wood, vinyl, paper, foil, and more. By using this machine I plan to incorporate art and graphic design into their learning. Students may create personalized key chains, water bottles, T-shirts and more. The technology aspect of this machine will not only excite students but it will keep them focused, engaged, and encourage innovation.
My students will be using the cutting machine, t-shirt press and other supplies to use their creativity to design shirts, and other customized creations for support of multiple community events/organizations, clubs, and special occasions.
Through personal experiences, my students have come to believe that cancer patients are among the strongest people to walk among us.
Several of my students are unable to afford purchasing their own t shirts in support of events such as Cancer Awareness, Autism Awareness, among others and this machine will help these students feel as though they are able to show their support as well.
A Cricut machine and t-shirt press will help us efficiently meet the requests for more awareness shirts. Thus raising awareness and support for our community.
