This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year I am teaching technology! I am teaching classes from PK-5th. While I'm teaching an array of grades, most of the classes are from PK-5th Grade. The majority of the school students are Hispanic/Latino, and many of them speak Spanish when they are at home.
This year, most of our students are joining classes remotely from their houses to stay safe through this epidemic.
Our students are economically disadvantaged and therefore are receiving both breakfast and lunch in school.
My Project
For this project, we are seeking to get sublimation blanks such as puzzles, mugs, and pen cases to be designed by our students! With all of the chaos we've endured this year, it would be so powerful to enable our students to express their feelings by designing and creating their own class memorabilia that will last a lifetime!
Encouraging our students to express themselves through art is crucial to their well-being!
When students can see their creations come to life and shared with their classmates they will feel so empowered and hopefully have some guaranteed joy as a reminder of this year!
