My Students

My students are creative, loving, and caring. They are always eager to learn and experience new things. School gives them the opportunity to use their imagination and create while learning. For most of my students, this is their first experience in any structured setting. Many of my kiddos have issues with social and emotion skills. Many of them come from low income or dual worker families. They do not have access to quality materials or experiences to spark learning. We are located right outside of one of the largest military bases. Some of our students are also military or retired military dependents. As a Title I school all of our students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. We are always in need of additional materials to make learning fun and inviting for our kiddos. To most of them the classroom is the sunshine on a cloudy day.

My Project

Markers, paint, letters, and 3D materials are used on a daily basis in the classroom. Imagine the learning possibilities. The materials will give them the opportunity to experience art on a different level. Many of my students are not exposed to quality materials at home. The materials will allow my students to use their imagination while learning through art. Art allows the students to tap into many different skills. Reading, writing, math and science. Art is a part of the learning foundation and experience. Imagine the smiles and laughs. The memories would be everlasting. Every child is an artist.
