My Students
At our school, our students are working toward goals that are so achievable but do not always come easy. As early adolescent students in a public school setting it can be difficult at times. All students learn at different paces and in different forms. Sometimes it takes many different strategies to help students express themselves. I have found with my own children that giving a small break from formal instruction really helps their learning.
There is a book that my daughter discovered on Youtube and it has created a sense of unity in my own home.
The book is called "Create This Book". I would like to provide this book for all my students in the 2019-20 school year. It would allow my class something to do together with pride. It would also allow students to work alone when then they finish early or give a break for those who feel that they have worked to strenuously. I feel that this will aid in a classroom that has multiple personalities, learning abilities, and reading levels. I would love to use this book to create not only a sense togetherness but allow individuality in my classroom.
My Project
Our Scholars at BES face many challenges at home and in the classroom. All of my students come from different academic places and face many challenges in their outside environment. I discovered this book from my own daughter and found it to be amazing. It has simple and challenging projects and it allows the child to use their own imagination and think outside the box.
This book will allow my students to express themselves freely as well as allow them to practice their writing skills.
This book was also created by someone their own age. I want them to see they are just as capable as the creator if they put their mind to it!! I also want them to enjoy learning!!
