Help me give my students opportunities to create and share their digital projects, complete individualized learning programs, and participate in learning centers.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love to create, share, and collaborate, but they don't always have the required tools to do so. Having a class set of headphones with a microphone will allow my students to personalize their projects, watch and listen to their peers' digital projects, complete individualized learning programs, and engage in learning centers.
Our school is a performing arts middle school with many creative students excited to showcase what they've learned.
The arts are integrated into core classes such as mine (ELA). I am always excited to give my students creative avenues to show what they've learned.
The headphones with microphones will be used in so many ways in the classroom. First, students will be able to create videos such as in Flipgrid or Adobe Cloud to show the concepts they've learned. In the bookcreator app, students would be able to turn their narratives into a voice-narrated/ visual to share with their peers. Students could also practice their reading fluency as they record themselves reading text. Students would be able to participate in learning center groups as they listen and give their classmates feedback on their digital projects. While in learning centers, I would be able to pull student groups to help them with individual needs. These are just a few of the amazing things students will use the headphones for in class.
