Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students live in a small suburban community in the Bay Area. Our school is a Title 1 school where more than half of the families receive free lunch.

My transitional Kindergartens are enthusiastic and excited to learn.

We are 100% on-line distance learning so far this school year. Every day my students greet me through Zoom with smiling faces.

My Project

I want to give my students opportunities that they would have in the classroom. As we continue distance learning my students are in need of some additional material to help with hands-on learning.

TK students learn best with hands-on material.

We will use the play-doh and chalk for creative play as well as making letters and numbers with it. I want my students to experience using watercolor paints while learning at home. Using the play-doh, chalk, and watercolor paint will help build their fine motor development as they learn and play. My young students will use the trays at home to keep their material organized and in one place.
