This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are the changing faces of America! Most of our students are first-generation Americans. With over 90% of our school receiving free or reduced-price lunch, the need is there.
As a Title I school in East Las Vegas, our students need your help.
Our school is the first and only college prep charter school in East Las Vegas. Our students work rigorously during our extended year and extended day school. However, the success of our school revolves around the people. The teachers, students, families, and donors like you, make this school reach the levels some would see as impossible!
My Project
All throughout Nevada, COVID has impacted learning. While many students have gained significant knowledge during COVID, others have found it to be an incredibly difficult time. To address this, schools and teachers must have more resources available to students.
Donating to this project will give review books to my government students and will give them the extra materials to help them master the Nevada Academic Content Standards.
Specifically, this project will address the following standards: SS.9-12.CE.13, SS.9-12.CE.14, SS.9-12.CE.15, SS.9-12.CE.16., SS.9-12.CE.17., SS.9-12.CE.22., SS.9-12.CE.23., SS.9-12.CE.24., SS.9-12.CE.25., SS.9-12.CE.26., SS.9-12.CE.27., SS.9-12.CE.28., SS.9-12.CE.29., SS.9-12.CE.30., SS.9-12.CE.31., SS.9-12.CE.32., SS.9-12.CE.33., SS.9-12.CE.34., SS.9-12.CE.35., SS.9-12.CE.36., SS.9-12.CE.37., SS.9-12.CE.38. C, SS.9-12.CE.40., SS.9-12.CE.41., and SS.9-12.CE.42.
By providing these review books, students will have the extra resources to help address learning during the pandemic year. These review books will be a "go-to" resource for students both at home and in person.
