Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with low-incidence students in a high school setting. These students are amazing! I admire all of them and the individual differences that make them so special. They deserve to capture memories of their friends and memorable times with a tangible memento. My students struggle at times to remember activities or things the students do.
With the Cricut, students can make shirts for their field day teams or when they go out to do community excursions.
The students created veteran bags for veterans in the area that could now be decorated with meaningful and inspirational quotes and messages. They even travel to drop them off and it would be awesome for all of them to have the same sweatshirt or shirt to show they are a team.
Our students enjoy when making real-world connections with hands-on experiences. Students need reminders; seeing a shirt or a framed photograph is just one way to create these lasting memories.
