Create Critical Thinkers through Math!

Help me give my students each a Daily Math Practice Journal so that they become the critical thinkers we need their generation to grow into to solve the world's problems, innovatively.

My Students

Our school is a school with 94.5% of students who are from low-income homes. While their families may be low on resources, our students are filled with a desire to learn. They simply need more resources to help them learn.

Math is a subject that requires logic. Those who understand it are able to think logically and critically. It is my goal as their teacher to help my students develop into logical and critical thinkers as that is what our society needs from our future innovators.

My Project

These journals will allow my students a hands-on math journey that is a short and simple daily starter. It allows them to think critically about Math problems and build confidence in their ability to be successful in Math. We will use these daily in class or virtual learning. It will allow students to look at how they have grown mathematically. Students will also be able to work collaboratively on solving a problem, while not having to share supplies. Also, students will be able to work on the problem at home/after class, if they should get "stuck" and need more time.
