My Project

I am a school based social worker/counselor for middle school students; I am looking to create a warm and engaging space to help young people who need support navigating challenging emotions and transitions in their lives. The games, fidgets, and regulating tools on my list will allow students to have something to manipulate or play with while they process challenges they are facing that interfere at school - it helps so many young people to be able to have something else to focus on or hold in their hands while they work through strong emotions. I hope to be able to educate students about experiences they may have throughout their development, focusing in on social and emotional experiences; the "a kids book about ______" books will offer educational material to students interested in these topics, presented in an age appropriate manner.
