Create a Safe Space for Our Students

Help me give my students calming fidgets and games, for self regulation and to practice coping and problem solving skills to achieve success in academic and social-emotional skills.

My Project

Help my students (ages 5-12) develop individual social-emotional skills by funding our safe space project. This project will help our Student Advocate create a quiet space for all students to receive guided support to de-escalate, process the situation, problem solve it, and implement age appropriate solutions as needed, which further encourages self-regulation and self-awareness.

Different students have different needs to help them achieve success.

Some students utilize Thera Putty to help with de-escalation, other students require a short game as a break and are able to regroup and return to class while others require different sensory items such as anxiety strips, sensor floor tiles, shape shifting boxes, coloring/drawing, and stress balls. This project will assist them in meeting those needs.

We hope you will consider supporting us to make learning and problem solving calming and great for all students!
