My Project
My Kindergarten students are always so excited to read books! There is a magical experience that fills the classroom when my students listen to a book read aloud to them. There is never a dull moment when we are listening to a book.
I would like to recreate this magical experience at home with our school-to-home bookbag reading program.
Our bookbags are in need of new books. I would like to include a variety of books to help build a positive impact on my students' future learning. Reading aloud improves vocabulary and language development, stimulates the imagination, and helps with listening skills.
Spending time together while reading aloud also helps to create strong parent-child bonds, develop emotional connections between loved ones and gain a lifelong love of reading.
