Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Teaching has always been my passion and especially in first grade. My students are so appreciative of new classroom resources as the school district is very low income and most students live with many different family members including cousins.

Having access to the correct materials is vital to my students learning.

It is important to me not only to create good lessons but provide my students with additional resources to help them learn in many different ways and set them up for success.

My Project

This project is important to my students because they love reading these stories but the copies that our school library has are often already checked out or are worn and missing pages. I have borrowed these books from other teachers but I do not have a copy of them within my classroom.

Reading is an essential skill in first grade, if I want my students to create a mindset that reading is fun I need to provide them with books that will interest them.

These books will create lots of joy for my students and they will be used every day within my classroom.
