Help me give my students STEM focused books to read in science class that reflect the diversity of their class.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Prestis's classroom raised $401
This project is fully funded
My Project
My middle school science students are in need of an assortment of STEM fiction books and graphic novels. Reading both fiction and nonfiction is an important part of learning and understanding science concepts. As a teacher, I understand the importance of having diverse materials available in my classroom library.
Having access to books that represent different perspectives, points of view, and cultures gives students a greater appreciation of the world around them.
It also allows them to make connections and see the bigger picture in science. However, with limited resources and a tight budget, it is difficult to provide my students with the STEM fiction books and graphic novels that they need.
That’s why I am asking for your help in funding a diverse classroom library that is based on STEM fiction. Your generous donation will help to provide my students with access to the critically acclaimed books and graphic novels that they need to grow as readers and science learners. In addition, it will provide them with the opportunity to explore different perspectives and provide a platform for students to explore science through stories. I thank you in advance for your generosity and for your support in creating a diverse classroom library based on STEM fiction.
