Create a Calming Sensory Corner for Students with Disabilities

My Project

Our goal with this project is to create a sensory-friendly corner equipped with various tools and equipment, including fidget toys, sensory balls, weighted blankets, sensory lamps, and tactile resources. These resources will offer students opportunities for self-regulation, relaxation, and sensory exploration throughout the day.

We are building a dedicated calming and sensory station within our classroom that will provide students an area to retreat to when feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated.

These spaces will be furnished with cozy seating, soft lighting, calming visuals, and sensory materials to facilitate relaxation and emotional regulation.

Your support will not only enhance the learning experiences of my students but also empower them to reach their full potential and participate more actively in classroom activities.
