Some of my students come from low-income households. Many of them do not have the ability to explore interests outside of the classroom. My goal is to create an environment that encourages students to wonder, be creative, and become life-long learners.
My 6th-grade students are bright, curious, and excited to learn.
They have so many questions about the world around them and it is important that I give them opportunities to discover the answers. My students learn better when they can touch and see for themselves. I want to be able to provide them with hands-on investigations that will help them understand the world around them and encourage them to keep learning.
My Project
Students will be able to use the Crazy Traits hands-on module to deepen their understanding of science concepts and have fun while learning.
The Crazy Traits Module is a fun and innovative tool for helping students learn about genetics, heredity, and evolution.
Through a series of games and activities, students learn that the traits people and animals inherit from their parents are based on chance. These students are our future scientists, computer techs, engineers, and mathematicians. They will be and are our future innovators. By helping to fund our project, you will provide my students with hands-on, engaging activities that will help them to develop an interest in STEM fields and also learn valuable skills.
