My Students

I teach a general education kindergarten class that is comprised of students of all capabilities. Many of my students come from families who are new to the country; therefore, they are learning the English language. I also have some students who require special services. My students come from varied backgrounds with different economic needs.

I am excited that my boys and girls are reading and writing.

Many of them are reading at a second-grade level, and I am very proud of them for that. They come to school every day eager to learn.

My Project

I will use the Cricut in the classroom as a resource to prep for my students to make and create art projects, academic projects, and as a tool to create a bright classroom environment.

The Cricut is a great tool to integrate the arts with technology and a resource to expose my students to as 21st century learners.

I will be using the Cricut to prep classroom projects in a more fast and efficient manner. The possibilities for me and my students' creativity are endless. We are constantly making art and craft projects that correspond with the curriculum, having the Cricut we will be able to cut out the pieces easier and faster making the end product more efficient. One specific way we are going to be able to use the Cricut is when we are learning about cultures, the Cricut will make it easier for us to create and print/cut out appropriate decals based on each child's culture which will then be used when the children create culture posters to share with their families.

The students will learn how we can create a project on the Cricut and we will have more technology resources to create and design with the Cricut and some beginning starter supplies. This will be so exciting.
