This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are fun-loving, smart and hard working! Our students come from all across the city to participate in the unique, ELL (English Language Learner) and ASD program specific for grades 6-8.

My students come from all different backgrounds to create a positive learning environment, where they will be encouraged to brainstorm, collaborate, and create works of art.

It is truly a unique urban setting.

Students at our middle school take an ​art class for an entire school year as a required elective/specials class and range in different skill levels and abilities.

My Project

As the second half of the year is quickly approaching, we are running out of the supplies we had purchased for the school year. With larger class sizes and increased student numbers, we are going through supplies much faster than anticipated.

I am asking for supplies that will help to ensure a successful second half of our school year in the art room.

We are in need of new colored pencils and markers for artwork.

We utilize these materials in all grade levels and in multiple art projects from the graffiti murals, metamorphosis designs, optical illusion art, self portraits and perspective drawings.
