This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite these challenges, I look to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. From the minute they walk through the door of my classroom I focus on their potential growth.

My students are creative, clever and want to learn!

I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day by creating a positive, safe environment where they will want to continue to learn and succeed!

My Project

Working in a low-income urban setting, not all of my students are able to start school with the necessary supplies to help make them successful. By donating to this project, you would be giving my students new crayons, pencils, glue, and headphones for all of the future projects and activities that will take place throughout the year.

Each and every one of my students should be able to start the year feeling excited and prepared!

These materials will do just that for all 24 of my incoming students. Crayons will allow them to show their creativity, pencils to practice their handwriting and complete assignments, glue for all those sticky projects and headphones for my students to use and listen to resources online.
