My students need 3 sets of Crayola Model Magic in order to restore Ancient Mesopotamian ruins to colorful life! My 6th graders, who also study architecture, will be making model restorations of the Ziggurat of Ur, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and Tower of Babel, along with Assyrian and Persian palaces.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Larkin's classroom raised $188
This project is fully funded
Hello! My "special program" 6th graders in a high-poverty school have been studying architecture, and are ready to apply their skills to restoring great treasures from Mesopotamia to life!
My students learn best when working in a hands-on environment, and have been learning skills that apply to architecture. It would be great if their social studies classwork could reinforce what they learn in architecture, while showing them an authentic application of both an architect's and historian's skills. Homemade clay recipes will crumble and turn their restored ruins back into ruins, whereas Crayola Model Magic will let my students work their magic!
In order to restore the Hanging Gardens and other Mesopotamian monuments back to glory, my students need good modeling clay. This will give them the chance to learn while working with their hands, to apply a historian's skills and to apply their architectural skills. They will see, in a hands-on project, the benefits of learning these skills.
You have the power to let my students use their imagination and their skills to restore ancient treasures. If you can give them the model magic, they will perform magic.
