This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students come to school hungry, and it's hard to focus on learning when your stomach is empty. Providing daily snacks in the classroom would help ensure that all of my students have the fuel they need to stay focused, energized, and ready to learn. Whether it's a granola bar, crackers, or fruit snacks, a small bite can make a big difference in their ability to participate, stay on task, and feel cared for throughout the day.

Access to consistent, healthy snacks also helps promote a positive classroom environment.

When students aren’t distracted by hunger, they’re more engaged and confident in their learning. It also levels the playing field, giving every child, regardless of their home situation, the chance to succeed academically and socially. With your support, I can help meet this essential need and create a stronger foundation for student success.
