Craving Chromebooks

Help me give my students these Chromebooks to help secure a collaborative and project based learning experience at our school. We are in the process of becoming a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) school.

My Students

My students are from Las Vegas. They are enthusiastic and energetic fourth and fifth graders. They are a diverse group and thrive in the computer lab. Unfortunately with the increase in enrollment this year there are not enough devices to meet our students needs. Each student needs their own computer to work independently on their individual goals.

The use of technology help students boost creativity and build a solid foundation to enter college and ultimately the work force.

We are "Craving Chromebooks" to enhance the learning experience in our computer lab.

My Project

This project would mean each of my students would have their own device. Right now throughout the day, students have to share a computer. When students share a computer they do not get the full computer lab experience. Students use the computers for project based learning for reading, writing, math, and science. Students will also be utilizing ST Math, i-Ready, and Google Classroom. ST Math and i-Ready are programs that help students close the gaps in their learning. Programs such has these let students work on the skills they need extra practice on or students can work on skills above grade level to enrich the learning experience.
