This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are finishing the year with a bang. The students really love Model Magic. Unfortunately it is consumable and short-lived. I am grateful for this opportunity to give them another experience with this medium.

It is crucial for my students to have hands-on art-making experiences.

In other academic classes, the reliance on the computer for learning, has diminished their opportunities for tactile learning.

The other material I am requesting are pony beads for bracelet making and buttons to embellish their sewing projects. This return-to-the-classroom year has been difficult on my middle school students. Many were affected personally by the perils of Covid-19. Others were adversely affected by long periods of isolation and distance learning.

Making bracelets and creating with Model Magic brings them moments of joy and happiness.
