My Project

I am a first-grade teacher eager to infuse creativity, pride, and joy into my classroom. Our project is centered on using heat transfer vinyl to create custom t-shirts and adhesive vinyl to personalize items like water bottles and storage drawers. This hands-on activity will not only reward achievement and add excitement to special days but also allow students to express themselves uniquely and take ownership of their belongings.

Vinyl crafting offers a tactile and visually engaging experience that supports various educational goals:

Creativity & Expression: Each student will design their t-shirt and personalize items, fostering creativity and individual expression.

Fine Motor Skills: Handling vinyl and crafting with it helps develop precision and coordination.

Community Building: Wearing their self-made t-shirts on fun days and seeing their labeled items daily will enhance a sense of community and belonging.

Responsibility: Personalizing their belongings helps students take responsibility for and pride in their items, reducing loss and misplacement.
