This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Our previous SEL, crafting, and economics activities went really well. Students were engaged and reported that they were looking forward to participating in these activities again. We want to add additional crafting supplies. The goal of this project is to introduce students to STEAM careers and economics by teaching them how to design and create motivational items.
We will continue to create a variety of projects, including positive affirmation posters, stickers, magnets, and other materials that will be used to promote positive social and emotional behaviors.
In terms of economics, students will continue to learn how the items they create can be used for fundraising. We will continue to explore how craft businesses create custom designs, t-shirts, tote bags, and logos that promote a particular cause or organization.
The supplies will provide a wide range of opportunities that support social-emotional learning and economics. With a little creativity and imagination, the possibilities are endless!
