Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am hoping to build our crafting library to include a multitude of items such as popsicle sticks, googly eyes, modge podge, paint, brushes, etc. These items are needed to support social emotional learning that we do within our day.
Emotional needs and regulation is important to be able to access academic learning.
When students are regulated, they are in a mental place to be able to show all that they can do within a classroom. When they are not regulated, their focus is on getting regulated, so academic learning is not yet able to occur. These crafting items will help students remain or become regulated throughout the year.
