Many schools have had to cut their art programs at the elementary levels in recent years. As a classroom teacher I see the effects of losing these built in art classes as a lack of fine motor skills and a craving for creative outlets in the classroom. Being able to include hands on learning and crafts without curriculum helps students grow in their fine motor skills and develop their own creative vision.
Craft supplies are essential to the success of student creativity in the classroom.
The supplies storage and caddies will allow me to keep my art supplies organized and ready to go.
The art supplies like google eyes, puffs, craft sticks and pipe cleaners can be used on a wide range of ways including STEM based building, reading comprehension and retelling activities, counting and sorting activities, and other “just for fun” learning opportunities. By having a steady supply of art supplies and storage I hope to be able to lead my students in several art based learning opportunities this coming school year.
