Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our Grade 10 English Language Arts classroom, words are powerful—but what if students could "see" and "touch" their stories, characters, and ideas come to life. With the Cricut Maker 4, that’s exactly what we’ll do. This innovative tool will allow students to transform their writing and literary analysis into visual, hands-on projects that deepen comprehension and spark creativity.

Imagine a classroom where learning leaps off the page—where students bring their ideas to life through hands-on creativity!

From designing character masks and thematic dioramas for novel studies, to crafting personalized book covers, poetry displays, and literary quote walls, the Cricut will bring a fresh, interactive dimension to our curriculum. Students will also create engaging visual elements for presentations, collaborative projects, and classroom displays that reflect their interpretations and voices.

More importantly, this tool will also support students with disabilities and English language learners by offering alternative ways to demonstrate understanding. Visual and tactile projects can make abstract concepts more concrete, reduce language barriers, and build confidence. For students who struggle with traditional assessments, creating something they can physically manipulate and proudly display opens new doors to engagement and success. By making learning more accessible, creative, and personalized, the Cricut Maker 4 will empower all of my 10th graders to connect deeply with literature, express themselves, and feel proud of their achievements.

By integrating the Cricut into our classroom, students will have the opportunity to develop critical thinking, collaboration, and design skills, all while engaging in lessons that feel meaningful and exciting. Whether it's crafting personalized learning materials, classroom decor, or creative projects that reflect their individuality, the Cricut Maker 4 will help foster a love for learning through artistic expression.
