I would love to give my students the opportunity to learn how to knit a hat for themselves or someone else during advisory time. This will give the students an opportunity to feel more comfortable to have conversations with me while learning a new trade.
Once the students learn the basic stitches of knit and pearl, I’ll be able to teach them how to read a pattern.
With the students having these tools, they will be able to make anything such as sweaters and hats. Knitting is also a tool that can help students relax. By giving the students the basics of knitting, they will have the skill that will produce many projects.
