Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are continuing to work so very very hard both at home and at school! The students at our school come from a vast array of socio-economic backgrounds. Most of our kiddos rely on free breakfast, lunch and even meal assistance on the weekends.

My classroom is a special needs classroom, we aim to provide a nurturing and engaging environment.

My kiddos continue to strive regardless of the cards they may have been dealt.

My Project

My students are mostly non-verbal and some of them express themselves through their art. After we read our daily read aloud, they are able to share some of their feelings about the book. The supplies like the google eyes, feathers, pom poms and colored card stock, as well as most of the supplies on the list will be used to create crafts that go along with the stories All of my students love to complete their crafts everyday after we read a book and cannot wait to see what we are going to do!

The rock crayons, Pip Squeak markers and triangular crayons are to help my students hold their writing tools in a way that is age appropriate.
