This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in a preschool special education class and are ready to learn and explore their environment. All of my students live in a low-income community in the Los Angeles area. My student has different types of disabilities ranging from Autism Spectrum Disorder, Speech and Language Impairment, and Intellectual Disability. All of my students are full of energy and eager to learn every day. They always show up with the most positive attitude and are ready to learn!
My Project
I will send the students material for them to make arts and crafts at home. We will be able to make puppets, color, and holiday crafts depending on the month.
This will help the students do some fun learning arts and crafts activities that correspond with the monthly theme such as : Pets, Boxes, and Buildings.
They will have the opportunity to make something fun with their parents or siblings as they learn about buildings. Making arts and crafts will give them the opportunity to also work on their fine motor skills as well.
