My Project

My students absolutely adore having time to to create during their library class. Whenever I offer stations, the craft table is the first one to fill up. I love seeing how engrossed they become in creating their masterpieces as well as how kind they are to classmates who may need a little extra help. According to Scholastic, "crafting helps develop fine motor skills, boosts counting and pattern recognition, teaches shapes and colors, encourages critical thinking and builds resilience."

Whether it be a project connected to something we have read in class, a craft for an upcoming holiday, a gift for a friend or family member or simply to time to make something all their own, my students love having access to markers, crayons, colored pencils, stickers and more!
