Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m lucky to teach an amazing group of high school students who are creative, compassionate, and eager to make a difference. As part of our early childhood program, they design and lead engaging, hands-on lessons for preschool students in our on-campus lab classroom. I also get to work with a wonderful group of preschoolers who are full of curiosity, energy, and joy. The materials in this project—like art supplies, sensory tools, and learning games—will help my high school students create meaningful, developmentally appropriate lessons that support early learning and social-emotional growth. This collaborative experience not only prepares my high schoolers for future careers in education but also gives our preschoolers a fun, interactive, and nurturing space to learn and grow.
