Your donation truly made a difference in my classroom. The students are thoroughly enjoying the new still-life items and are excited to see fresh materials, especially those who have had me as a teacher in the past.\r\n\r\nMy art students use all these items for drawing, painting, and photography. The photography students incorporate these items into their photograph compositions or enhance them in Photoshop. The drawing students used the origami paper for a lesson on casual perspective and were delighted to learn this new art form. Some were so inspired by their results that they created additional paper folding sculptures. The drawing students also incorporated many of the items into their soft and hard texture drawings. I referenced the plaster hand when we studied our own hands, and it was helpful to have one in front of me to draw from. \r\n\r\nIn the future, all level 1 Painting students will use the new apples as their focal point to explore watercolors. In the spring, the level 1 Drawing students will work with manikins to understand human proportions and to create engaging, bold compositions in chalk pastel. I am excited to see how much easier the lesson will be now that I have many more manikins for the students to pose as they wish, rather than everyone having to follow the same pose at the same table. The glass objects will be used by the painting students and by the photography students in our landscape unit.\r\n\r\nAgain, we truly appreciate your donation and thank you for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1757282179009,"projectUrl":"project/expanding-our-still-life-collection/9665817/","projectTitle":"Expanding Our Still Life Collection","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wisniewski","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9726090"},{"teacherId":9710699,"projectId":9738052,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, I was able to create the best possible lesson and classroom experience for my students. Your support has made a meaningful difference in the lives of our students, and I'm excited to share how we've been using the new resources you helped provide.\r\n\r\nThe supplies have played a vital role in supporting our students' overall mental health and well-being—tools we know are essential for empowering both academic and emotional success. One of our favorite ways we've incorporated these resources is through a lunchtime mental health trivia activity. Students had the opportunity to spin a prize wheel after correctly answering trivia questions related to emotional wellness, self-care strategies, and coping skills. \r\n\r\nTheir reactions were priceless! You could see their faces light up the first time we introduced the activity. One student exclaimed, \"This is the best part of my week!\" while another shared that learning about mental health in such a fun and interactive way made them feel seen and supported.\r\n\r\nThe materials are also being used in small group sessions individual sessions focused on emotional regulation, building healthy habits, and developing social-emotional skills. These moments have opened up important conversations and helped students feel more confident in navigating challenges both inside and outside the classroom.\r\n\r\nFrom all of us, thank you for believing in our students and supporting their journey.","fullyFundedDate":1756079939135,"projectUrl":"project/motivation-matters-empowering-high-scho/9634654/","projectTitle":"Motivation Matters: Empowering High School Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Zepnick","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10206469"},{"teacherId":544724,"projectId":9552538,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for providing basic materials such as tissues, highlighters, and pencils. This has not just supported students in need, but also allowed me to create a classroom where any student can borrow or take materials they need to be successful. We have set up a \"student center\" so that students do not need to ask - they can just pick up supplies. Tissues, of course, are a valuable commodity, especially as we enter into the colder months and germs become more frequent. I am grateful for your support.\r\n\r\nThank you also for the Forensic Science materials, such as UV light, fingerprint powder, and forensic slides, that we needed to supplement our current lab supplies. This project has fundamentally changed how I manage my workflow and, more importantly, how my students access their education.\r\n\r\nThe iPad has become my central command center, directly addressing the complex organizational needs of teaching ESE. The greatest impact has been streamlining the monitoring process. I now have all student IEP goals, progress monitoring data, and accommodation usage logs in one secure, portable place. This means less time shuffling paper and more time focused on direct student instruction.\r\n\r\nFor the students, this translates into immediate support. When I can quickly verify which accommodation (like text-to-speech) a student requires, I can ensure they get it without delay. The iPad allows me to instantly track whether a student is effectively utilizing their assigned accommodations, giving me real-time data to adjust my teaching approach.\r\n\r\nThe iPad allows me to differentiate instruction efficiently. I can assign a student a modified text using a reading app, while another student works on a math problem set using an interactive tutorial, all within the same class period. This reduces the cognitive load associated with traditional paper-and-pencil tasks. Instead of struggling with handwriting or fine motor skills, students can focus their energy entirely on the content of the lesson. The technology makes learning adaptable, personalized, and accessible, ensuring every student has a path to success.\r\n\r\n\r\nThank you again for empowering my classroom and providing this essential piece of technology that will continue to benefit my students for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1755660361371,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-progress-ipad-for-ese-data-a/9545603/","projectTitle":"Empowering Progress: Ipad for ESE Data and Student Support","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Reay","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9728829_orig.jpg?crop=1194,1194,x405,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1725459071120","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9728829"},{"teacherId":9708292,"projectId":9584915,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to purchase calculators for my classroom.
