This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Back in the day, kindergarten used to be about making crafts, enjoying story time, and learning how to say my ABCs and 123s. Well today, kindergarten looks quite different. Students are expected to have the foundational skills to read beginner-level books and comprehend what they have read by March. As always, learning is as fun as possible in Mrs. LeBretton's room!
Let's make comprehension fun by making a cute craft that helps retell the story!
The various colored papers and printer ink will allow students to make these fun crafts on colorful paper. The ink will be used so that when job aids need to be printed, they can be printed in full color. Stories come to life better when in color versus printing in black and white as provided by the school copy room. With the TPT gift card, I can purchase craft and retell projects that align with the stories we will read in class. Lastly, the colorful cart will help me plan ahead and have materials ready to go!
