Cracking Into Hatchery Management

Help me give my students egg incubators for the ability to learn basic hatchery management and FFA practices.

My Project

Aquaculture is just one pathway into many agricultural jobs. A common practice in our program is to incubate and hatch chickens in part of our hatchery management unit. Our students are also in FFA within our program, but being an urban area makes it hard for my students to experience the basic FFA activities. Having the incubators allows us to watch the growth through the entire life cycle of the baby chicks and provide a sense of stewardship to all living beings. The empathy and skills are both inspirations to our children to create well rounded, empathetic adults for our communities.
