My Project

My students are in love with the hermit crabs I brought home from Outer Banks, but in our learning, we found that they need much more than we are giving them!

Our current habitat is what I would consider a one-star motel, but we want to give them the Ritz Carlton!

Watching Hermit crabs have brought life and joy to my classroom. Students with disabilities are calmed by their peaceful energy. Building their habitat weaves nicely into our science curriculum within our animal habitat unit. We need a tank, reptile lamp, sand and other hermit crab habitat essentials. Kids from all over the building come to visit my classroom to see the crabs!
