This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a diverse group of Special Ed students, however they all share one quality: the excitement and eagerness to learn new things. Every morning, I show CNN 10, which lasts more than 10 minutes because they are filled with continuous questions about the new topic. Sometimes they even ask questions I don’t even know the answer to because they’re curiosity is so peculiar. It simply brings me joy when they understand a new objective and find answers to their questions.

My Project

When it comes to art, my students absolutely enjoy it but due to their disabilities, some have a difficult time cutting out things to create their projects, which makes it tedious to complete at times. I've had the opportunity to see what the cricut does, and my students will benefit from it. Students will benefit from this because they will have an opportunity to be creative but with assistive technology they don't have to be discouraged of how their project will look because the cutting is already done for them. They will be able to create and put together the pieces to their masterpiece. Their outcome will make them feel satisfied.
