There is nothing like curling up in a cozy place with someone and reading a book. My students are 3 years old and it is the perfect time to foster and grow their love of reading. Right now, our library consists of a rug for students to sit on, but no furniture where they can get comfortable and cozy to curl up and read. Students often don't stay long in the library as it's not comfortable to sit and read in.
This comfy, cozy reading nook will provide a spot for students to come together and enjoy a good book.
It will also provide a spot to display students favorite books and the books they have checkout from the library. This addition to our library will cause it to become one of our classrooms favorite centers and allow for students to build their love of reading.
