Help me give my students a reading corner to cozy up with a good book! My project includes a storage bench, rug, throw pillows, and of course...BOOKS!!!
I have been teaching for over 20 years and continue to love every minute of it! These students come into my class ready to learn. They love school and are ready to work on higher-level skills for their age. The kids are 8 and 9 years old and love to read!
My school is a Title I school and together we work very hard to close any reading gaps by providing literature-rich environments that are organized and inviting.
When students can find just the right book, they become engaged in their reading. As a result, they read more...which helps to improve their reading abilities!

These materials will help me set up cozy areas in my classroom where students can snuggle up with a good book!
These 3rd graders will love the addition of these items to help them continue to make growth in their reading in a cozy, flexible learning environment with a variety of awesome and engaging books!
I am going from 2nd grade to 3rd grade and will be looking to move many of my students from picture books up to chapter books! Having engaging books to excite them and an environment that promotes learning will help my students make this transition and growth!
