This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious and full of adventures, and each one has a preference to meet their sensory processes. The sensory items, like the sand table and Playfoam Pluffle, will provide a cozy corner in our class to help students self-regulate, use sensory items, and take breaks. The sensory items will be used to support each of my students’ sensory processes to help keep their bodies calm, meet their sensory needs, engage in functional communication, and following directions and daily routines. The sensory items will also promote self-awareness and helps them connect to their surroundings. These sensory items will further help them concentrate and be more productive in their learning.
