This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every single day, students come into my library asking for mats so they can be cozy and lay down during our silent reading time. By helping us create a warm and welcoming library ambiance, you will help foster love for the joys of reading!

Our school is nearly 100% low-income, and 98% Black and Latino.

We are working diligently on improving our reading skills, fluency, and test scores, and making our new library an inviting and cozy space with furniture that the students are clamoring for is a key step. Thank you in advance for helping us support this goal.
