This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a wonderful class of little humans with diverse personalities who are a happy and curious bunch of kids with limitless imaginations. They come into class each day and make my day just a little bit brighter.

My students are humble and eager to learn.

They love having a variety of books in the classroom library to choose from, in which they enjoy picking a good book to read with their reading buddy.

I am blessed to be their teacher and proud to call them mine.

My Project

This project is to bring a cozy little colorful couch into the classroom so the student can have an area to explore their independent reading time. Reading is an important part of our school. It is also a major key to academic success. A warm and inviting cute couch will help encourage the students to take their books and share stories with their peers.

My goal is to "update" and add some modern furniture to the classroom reading area.

I want it to be a place that students can come and enjoy reading while relaxing. Providing a comfortable space in our room to show them the importance of reading.
