Celebrating Black History Month

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The students will benefit from a cozy reading area in our classroom to enhance their literacy skills. This area will contain pillows, a tent, shelves, books, and a large floor mat. Students will read individually, with a partner and in small groups, talk about the books and their reactions to them.

The Cozy Literacy Corner will be an important area in our classroom children will learn about the world through characters' eyes, practice literacy skills, and become life-long readers.

This project will help make our classroom engaging; a place where students want to come, even on the weekends!
