Cozy Learning Nook

Help me give my students ottomans that will double as book storage, a futon, and wallpaper to create a cozy nook with flexible seating options.

My Project

I have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest young minds in the world. I strive daily to become the best teacher that I can be and expose them to as much as I can. However, many of our students come from low-income families and have little to no access to the ever-changing resources and programs that many other students have. Our school is located in the rural Mississippi Delta. We are a Title I school where one hundred percent of our students receive free lunches.

Many times we have to deal with broken furniture that’s not always appealing.

We recently received a project with new books and I want to create a colorful, comfortable, and fun reading book nook for my students. In this project we have requested a futon, wallpaper, a fuzzy rug, throw pillows, and throw pillow covers.

Please help me with creating this reading area to help encourage and motivate my students to continue to find and explore places unknown within a book.
